This little wedding had a big heart. I don’t think I’ve cried that much during a ceremony, ever.
Rachel is the younger sister of my best friend, and she found Kris via the interwebs.
He eventually moved down here to be near her, and yesterday they tied the knot at the Whitby home in Argyle, Texas.
Kris’ gift to Rachel was a frame that held this adorable print, and both of their versions of how the proposal happened.
A Whitby Wedding tradition is to use dried chickpeas, split peas, or other veggies in the colors of choice to fill the bottom of flower arrangements — it creates beautiful texture and is a great idea — I have personally stolen this from them as you will no doubt see if you ever visit my house.

Since there wasn’t a traditional aisle, Kris came to escort Rachel to the ceremony… after some tears of course.
After the ceremony, the two brought their friends and family to Fera’s in Denton for a late lunch. We ran out afterwards for some quick shots in the freezing wind.
Thank you, Rachel & Kris, for allowing me to be a part of your wedding. Enjoy your honeymoon! May it be warmer and sunnier than your wedding day!
