Snow Day | Evan & Brittnye

the superbowl may be this weekend, but Dallas’ winter weather is taking center stage right now. we’ve seen ice, we’ve seen snow, did i mention last saturday was 75 and sunny? anyway, its been a fun week – i’ve gotten to spend most of it at home with daniel, playing video games and watching movies. its been fantastic! none of us saw friday coming though – we got an easy 3-6 inches in denton alone, and we weren’t in the thick of the snow that fell overnight last night. it made for a GORGEOUS morning, and i couldn’t NOT gather any and all willing clients to come play out in it with me! the first lovelies to grace my lens were evan and brittnye – high school sweethearts and former classmates of mine. it had been years probably since we’d seen each other, so it was great getting to catch up and get a little camera time in with them this afternoon. we started off on denton’s downtown square on the historic courthouse lawn!

brittnye: “all he has to do is make that face!”

then we stopped by the amazing (and going strong alll this week despite the snow) Jupiter House Cafe!

thanks for braving the weather guys! i had a blast!

snowed in: jessi & ben

if you live in the north texas region.. chances are you heard that there was some snow yesterday. it was nothing if not exciting and made for a wonderful, awe and childlike-wonder-filled day. around lunch when it was really going strong, one of my favorite clients and best friend, jessi and i decided to do a spur of the moment snow session in denton, where we both live. we took a quick trip down the block to the square and got a few of jessi and ben hanging out in the flurries. it was a once-in-a-texan-lifetime shoot and i couldn’t believe it worked out so well! technically, this is a “love session”, since these two are already married, but whatever it is, its cute as can be and i love it. when we got there, some snowmen were in the midst of being built..
